But curiosity has taught me far more!
I’ve spent more than eighteen years coaching leaders, teams, groups and professional coaches.
More than 20,000 hours doing work that has taken me into organizations, leadership teams, difficult decisions, career transitions, professional development - and countless moments when someone has stopped mid-sentence because they’ve suddenly seen something differently.
You might think that after all those hours, I’d have developed a pretty impressive collection of answers. I haven’t.
What I’ve developed is a much better respect for the questions.
Because the longer I do this work, the more convinced I become that the most powerful thing I can bring into the room isn't an answer.
It’s attention. Curiosity. Experience. Challenge.
And the willingness to stay with something long enough for what really matters to emerge.
The longer I do this work,
the more interested I become in what people are capable of.

My career has taken me through leadership, organizational development, healthcare, higher education and government — into very different rooms with very different people carrying very different responsibilities.
And those experiences have shaped the way I coach.
I've seen how organizations really work. I've seen what responsibility can ask of people. I've watched extraordinarily capable leaders question themselves. I've seen teams get stuck in patterns nobody intended to create.
And, I've watched coaches discover that the moment they stopped trying so hard to be a good coach was often the moment something shifted.
Different environments. Different challenges.
But underneath them, something remarkably consistent: People are capable of far more when they have the space to see themselves, their situation and their possibilities more clearly.
Twenty thousand hours haven’t taught me what people will do next. They’ve taught me never to underestimate what they’re capable of.
The longer I do this work, the less interested I am in having the answers — and the more interested I am in what becomes possible when we ask better questions
I am an ICF Master Certified Coach (MCC) and have spent more than eighteen years developing my coaching practice. I am also an MCS in ACC, PCC and MCC Mentor Coaching.
Across more than 20,000 coaching hours, I've worked with leaders, teams, groups and professional coaches across a wide range of organizational environments.
I've also mentored more than 100 professional coaches, supporting coaches at different stages of their development and credentialing journey.
